The name of the rock formation southeast of Wohnfeld suggests a pre-Christian place of worship, which is more common in the Vogelsberg. The Wildfrauhaus consists of three rock cliffs arranged along a length of 200 m. The rock from which this geotope is formed is unusual: it is light gray, light brown on the surface due to weathering. It is a medium-grained rock, probably micro-diorite. The Wildfrauhaus, hidden in the forest 1 km from Wohnfeld, can be reached via the K 133, which leaves Wohnfeld to the south. A VHC trail marked with a red St. Andrew‘s cross leads directly past the geotope.
