On the 250th anniversary of the literary genius Friedrich Hoelderlin, something very special awaits the visitor in Wartenberg-Landenhausen. The Landenhausen Cultural Association, which has was established in 2006, has redesigned the "Sun Path of Poetry" for the anniversary programme, which is unfortunately missing out somewhat due to Corona. The 2.8 kilometre long hiking trail, which was created in 2014 by the HR4 project "My Association", begins at the end of the village "Steinweg", runs to the Bad Salzschlirf district and from there back to Landenhausen.

16 newly installed steles now adorn the route, which is popular with tourists and locals alike. The poetry boards are revised annually and the themes change regularly. The local dialect is represented as well as texts by pupils of the Mittelpunkt School Angersbach. Currently, in addition to the "main character" Hoelderlin, interested people can get to know and enjoy other literary treasures by e.g. Maria von Ebner-Eschenbach, Joachim Ringelnatz or Wilhelm Busch.

Unfortunately, the official ceremony with picnic had to be cancelled, as well as the well-known and popular "art walk". However, the mayor Dr. Olaf Dahlmann remains in a positive mood and emphasizes the important contribution of the path to the Vogelsberg cultural landscape. The activities of the association members are manifold, cooperations across district borders are welcome, e.g. with the cultural train station in Bad Salzschlirf.
