NIZA – Nature Conservation Information Centre Amoeneburg

Located in the romantic old town of Amoeneburg, our Naturschutz-Informationszentrum, opened in 1990, offers you an interesting natural history collection on Hessen's oldest nature conservation area (since 1927) and its charming surroundings. Let us inform you and your family, your club, your school class etc. and inspire you to reflect and discover yourself.

The premises can also be made available for lectures and lessons. Extensive teaching material is available (books, videos, etc.).
The NIZA is not only a permanent exhibition, but also offers numerous natural history tours and lectures every year.

Opening hours

April - October:
every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month from 14.00 - 18.00 o'clock
and all year Monday - Thursday from 08.00 - 12.00 and 14.00 - 16.00 o'clock
Fridays from 08.00 - 12.00 o'clock over the city administration
